How it works

From exploring the network to completing an assignment.

See how independent IT professionals join TechSavvy, qualify for specific capabilities and take on opportunities through the network.

The provider journey

What to expect.

Providers are independent professionals. Approval is specific to each capability, and work is offered as it fits, not guaranteed.

  1. Explore Before You Apply

Look through the specialties and Field Notes to see where your skills fit before you start.

  2. Tell Us About Yourself

Share your background, experience, service area and the kinds of technology work that interest you.

  3. Tell Us What You Know

Identify the capabilities you want to offer and the experience behind them.

  4. We Review Your Capabilities

TechSavvy reviews your experience against the capabilities you want to offer through the network.

  5. Your Approval Can Be Different for Different Skills

Capabilities are approved individually. You may be approved for some specialties and not others.

  6. Complete Your Onboarding

Finish the required onboarding steps before you take on work.

  7. An Opportunity Comes In

When an organization needs help that matches your approved capabilities, TechSavvy may send you the opportunity to review.

  8. Decide Whether It Fits

You decide whether an opportunity suits your capabilities and availability before accepting it.

  9. Show Up Ready to Work

Arrive prepared, communicate clearly and work to the professional standard the organization expects.

  10. Document What Happened

Record what you did and what you found, so the organization has a clear account of the work.

  11. Complete the Assignment

Finish the work, complete the required documentation and close out the assignment so it can move through the payment process.
