About TechSavvy
Enterprise-quality IT shouldn't be limited to enterprise-sized organizations.
TechSavvy is building a network of independent IT professionals who work onsite with the organizations around them, starting in the Philadelphia tri-state area.
Why we're building TechSavvy
Two groups that need each other.
Plenty of organizations need professional technology expertise but don't always have a practical way to get the right help when they need it. Plenty of capable IT professionals have skills and experience they could put to work.
Smaller organizations often face a different technology challenge. They may not need—or have the resources for—a large internal IT department, while traditional support arrangements don't always provide the specialized skills or onsite help a particular situation requires.
So the network closet becomes somebody's side responsibility, and the Wi-Fi goes down before the board meeting.
TechSavvy exists to connect the two: organizations that need the work done properly, and professionals who know how to do it.
Why organizations need outside expertise
Sometimes the skills or the hands aren't in the building.
An organization may have no IT department at all. It may have a small team stretched across everything, or a managed service provider that works remotely. In each case there are moments when the work calls for something they don't have internally: specialized expertise, additional hands for a project, or simply a capable professional on site.
Technology needs change from project to project. No internal team or outside provider has to do everything alone. TechSavvy gives organizations a way to bring in the right professional for that work.
What we believe
Different paths in. Same professional standard once you're in.
- There is more than one path into IT
- We care about what you can do—not just how you learned to do it
- Capabilities are reviewed individually, so approval means something
- Professionalism, judgment, communication and reliability matter as much as technical skill
- Organizations deserve plain language and work done properly

Where we're starting
The Philadelphia tri-state area.
TechSavvy is starting in Southeastern Pennsylvania, South Jersey and northern Delaware. We would rather cover one region properly than claim a map we cannot serve.
The larger aim is a professional network that is also a resource and a community: a place where IT professionals find work that fits their skills, share what they know, and where organizations can learn enough to make good decisions about their technology.
